Special Care & Hospitalization

If your pet gets sick we will do our best to get them worked into our schedule as quickly as possible. It is our goal to work with our clients to get sick pets and those with emergencies seen in a timely manner.

We are able to keep animals hospitalized at our clinic. IV fluids are sometimes needed, especially if your pet is dehydrated or vomiting. We have an isolation room to keep Parvovirus positive dogs, or FeLV/FIV positive cats, separate from those not infected, but still very comfortable.

We can hospitalize patients overnight, but we do not have a staff member here all night. If it is determined that your pet needs to have 24 hour monitoring we can refer you to 24-hour emergency centers in Louisville or Indianapolis.

We are happy to be able to offer drop off appointments, for those clients who can’t stay with their pet, at no extra cost to you.

Our staff will go over the desired procedures with you and later offer further diagnostics or treatment over the phone. Then we can have everything ready to go home when you pick up your pet. At that time, we will finish going through any findings during your pet’s visit.

We now have digital radiographs which allow for fewer retakes and less stress on the pet.  It also allows us to send these images on a disc to a referral clinic.  We can also send the images directly to a board-certified radiologist for an extra fee, giving you a more definitive diagnosis.
