Dental Exams

Unlike us, our pets get to take a nice nap while we clean up their pearly whites. Dental health greatly impacts a pet’s quality of life and can have a huge effect on the years our pets get to experience. Healthy teeth and gums can get us an average of 2 to 3 more years together. Bacteria in the plaque and tartar can gain access to the bloodstream and impact vital organs such as the heart, liver, and kidneys.

We offer state of the art dental x-ray which allows us to see below the gum, catching problems earlier, preventing painful dental disease.

Spay and Neuter

Did you know animals that are spayed and neutered are less likely to run off and get hit by a car? Many types of cancers can be prevented by spaying or neutering your pet, and the chance of other cancers can be greatly reduced by altering your pets before the age of 2.

Soft Tissue Surgery

We offer many soft tissue surgeries including but not limited to ocular, urinary bladder, mass removals, abdominal exploratories and some amputations.

Vaccinations

Canine

We offer Rabies, DHP both with and without Leptospirosis, Influenza, Bordetella, and Lyme.

Feline

We offer Rabies, FVRCP with and without Leukemia.

Vaccinations help prevent many pet illnesses. They can help avoid costly treatments for diseases that can be prevented. Diseases prevalent in wildlife, such as rabies and distemper, can infest unvaccinated pets.

Parasite Control

Canine

In-house we carry Interceptor Plus, Nexgard, Simparica Trio, and Seresto Collars

Feline

We offer Revolution Plus and Seresto Collars in-house as well as other options for both cat and dog available through our online pharmacy.

A major reason to get your pet checked for parasites yearly is that intestinal parasites can harm your pet by decreasing their ability to absorb nutrients, causing vomiting or diarrhea.

Boarding

We offer boarding for both small and large dogs and cats. Sunday pick-ups are not available.

Individual Kennels and runs are available by reservation. Holiday space available but call early to secure your reservation. Boarding animals must be current on vaccinations with proof required.

Wellness Appointments

These appointments allow us to strive to keep your pets in good health, allowing both of you to enjoy your time and companionship. The use of preventative vaccines, along with monitoring diagnostics such as fecal, heartworm, and tick-borne disease tests and bloodwork allow us to catch problems earlier and stop some problems completely. By intervening at an earlier stage of disease or illness, we usually have many more options when it comes to treatment and likely better outcomes for our furry patients.

Comfort Room

Not every day is filled with healthy puppies and kittens, and here at Jackson County Animal Clinic, we strive to make those end of life decisions as easy as possible. We now offer a comfort room, allowing you to stay with your pet for the entire procedure of euthanasia. The room is set up like a living area, helping your pet to feel more at ease and allowing normal interaction between owner and pet.

We also offer full cremation services, both private and communal.
