I grew up in Valparaiso, Indiana where I graduated from Valparaiso High School. I received my BA in Elementary Education/Bible Religion in 2000. I proceeded to move to Cortez, Colorado where I taught Middle School Math and was the Assistant Varsity Girls’ Soccer Coach for 3 years. Realizing that teaching was not for me, I returned to Indiana and finished my Biology degree at Goshen College and then received my DVM from Purdue in 2014. I moved with my family to Southern Indiana to work at JCAC and Scottsburg in 2015 before working soley in Bedford from 2015-2022. I returned to JCAC in the summer of 2022. I am passionate about client education and end of life care. I am married to Alvin Bauman and we have one daughter, Cora. My daughter participates in basketball, softball, and 4H. We have two dogs, seven cats, and 10 chickens. In my free time, I enjoy running half and full marathons for World Vision and

reading.
